Faster to the FUN availability question

I know the answer can vary but I booked a Journey trip for next January for my son and his new bride. My husband and I are platinum and I'd like to get them FTTF because it's their honeymoon, first cruise for her, and I'd like them to board close to us.

 

I don't see FTTF available on the sailing but do they open it up closer to the sailing?

You have to look all the time, everyday, all different times as they become available very randomly. Be diligent until you get one and check several times a day. I have had my best luck very early in the mornings, around 6:00 AM. Good Luck!

Yeah, that's a crapshoot + it usually sells out same or next day at the latest. I'd suggest joining a group here and on Facebook for that specific cruise. When someone finds it available, they'll usually give the group a shout. BTW, is that journey cruise the one sailing Jan 7th 2018 from Port Canaveral? My wife + I are booked on that one.

I didn't book initially for our cruise last year and found it was sold out until about 45 days out. Just happened to take a peek and it was available.

 

Don't think there is a method to Carnival's madness when it comes to purchasing F2F.

I did read a blurb on the Carnival web site that they expect FTTF for 2018 sailings to be available in late February-early March of this year, so, very soon hopefully:

A set number of FTTFs is made available for purchase about 6 - 8 Months prior to sailing. Then 1 - 2 Months prior to sailing carnival takes Total Number of Priority Guests - (Platinum + Diamond + Initial Batch of FTTF) and the leftover is rereleased. So it really depends on the number of Platinum and Diamond guests booked.
