bharkins12 Posted February 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2017 Our last cruise on the Dream we constantly heard chair scraping across the deck. I went on most of the day and into the night. It definitely didn't ruin our cruise, not much could, but I never could figure out where the noise was coming from. We had a balcony on deck on 8. Anyone else encountered this? Mtngal33 Posted February 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2017 You were right below the Lido deck, which is why we've only stayed on deck 8 one time...never again!
WPTNGirl Posted February 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2017 On the Dream, Lido is Deck 10 so you would not have been right under Lido. It could have been people moving chairs on their balcony above or beside you.
bharkins12 Posted February 23, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted February 23, 2017 Thanks! I had to have been residual noise from the pool! It was constant and we we were on the Lanai said of the ship. It was too, too much noise to be coming from the other balconies. That's what I too thought at first, but just couldn't be. I couldn't even nap during the day :(. But, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, we have never had a bad cruise, and I still overlooked the noise and we will book another balcony just have to consider where first. Mntgal33, which deck do you like for noise reduction?
maldenmusic Posted February 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2017 We had a cove balcony, 2325 on the Dream and it was pretty quiet. We had some rough seas for 2 days and we could hear the waves hitting the ship but it wasn't too bad.
Mtngal33 Posted February 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2017 We usually like to be right in the middle on deck 7, but we've actually been in many locations on different ships! We were right under the Lido only once, and we won't ever do that again! Haha! We have a cove balcony booked on the Dream next January and I'm looking forward to that since we've never been that low in the ship before! WPTNGirl Posted February 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2017 We love a balcony on Lido Deck. We have never had noise problems (except neighbors slamming door which can happen on any deck). Lido deck cabins are so convenient to the pool, bars and eateries.
