Handicap Cabins, Caribbean/Star - your input please!

Does anyone have any input with regard to handicap cabins for me please. We are wanting to book this week for a cruise on either the Star or the Caribbean and wondered about Handicap cabins - we'll be taking our elderly parents and have no idea as to what is available on either of these ships. Please let us about your experience or give us your views.

I was on the Dawn Princess. The handicap cabins are very good. There is a hand held shower with a pull down seat. Some you can actually roll in. The doors are 36" wide to accomodate a scooter. There are hand rails in the bathroom to make transfers easily. The closets on the Star/Carb are the pull down type from reports. If you choose one that has a balcony it will have a small ramp to the balcony. These cabins have been designed for the disabled.

Hopfully someone who has been on either of these two ships will be on and give you more details. You must book early to secure these cabins as they are few.

We sailed on the Star last July and are going on it again in February. I have 2 daughters in wheelchairs that can not walk at all. The only bad thing about both ships is that the handicap cabins only have 2 beds. Anything else you want to know just ask.
