cheeseheads4ever Posted February 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2017 We are on Silly on April 9 going to San Juan 3:30 -9 pm , St Marteen 8-5 pm and St Thomas 8-5 pm. Just wondring if anyone has any snorkeling, catamaran, or walking excursion recommendations. We've been to fort in San Juan but we arrive late? Any concerns after sunset there? Any help or recommendations would be very helpful and appreciated..
BettyLou260 Posted February 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2017 We've been on two different snorkeling trips in St Maarten, the first one was the "Tiki Hut." It was well run and the equipment was fine. The second one was a snorkeling trip via boat, and the snorkel location was just off Maho Beach. This is right off the airport runway and the approaching planes are really close. My husband is a pilot so he really enjoyed this snorkel trip, even though we had significant waves to deal with due to a storm. This approach is famous. I recommend either of these two excursions! janetz Posted February 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2017 St Maarten, Americas Cup Sailing You can only book it though the ship St. Thomas, Fury Charters. Snorkeling with turtles. Non ship excursion You can find both online and they are both excellent ;)

jamiel03 Posted February 24, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Rumaba Charters in St. Thomas is excellent for snorkeling. They only take a maximum of 6 people, so it's really private, and take you to less popular places to snorkel, so it won't be crowded. The food is great, service even better. I've snorkeled with them each time I've been to St. Thomas, and can't wait to go back again.
