jensplace Posted February 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2017 I have searched all over Carnival's website and can't find this--half the links I get lead to error pages! 1. Are toiletries provided in the cabins? Shampoo, conditioner, soap? 2. I have read about bringing an "approved" power strip. What would make one approved? I have tons at home but I don't know which one to pack.
Butterbean1000 Posted February 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Shampoo. Shower gel and hand soap is provided. Yes, bring an approved power strip, you'll need it. Sent from my SM-G900P using Forums mobile app
pcvtmom Posted February 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2017 There are shampoo and shower soap dispensers. However, the quality is often discussed here on CC. Some people prefer to bring their own. I've never brought a power strip, so I can't help you with that question.
NickandJonsmom Posted February 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2017 IMO their soap and shampoo and shower gel dry out my skin. I'd bring my own
jensplace Posted February 25, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Are there any power strip restrictions? I know I need to bring one (my son has autism, so lots of devices travel with us), but what makes one "approved"? Thanks for the toiletry info. Id rather be diving Posted February 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2017 It can't have a surge protector. I might get one of these next time, though I'd worry it might not fit in a particular outlet. This one is great! You can turn the plug around 360 degrees so it fits anywhere. This is a great one for traveling.

This one gets posted every "power strip" thread and every time it gets repeated that's it's not allowed because it's a surge protector.

If you go to guest services they will provide a power supply for you if you tell them you have a medical need. We get one for my wife's cpap machine. jensplace Posted February 25, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted February 25, 2017 It's more a sanity need. My son can function without a device, but everyone in the world is happier when he has one. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Power strips with surge protectors are not permitted, and may be confiscated. How to tell if one has a surge protector? Take a look at it. It will be clearly marked (somewhere on it) if it has a surge protector. The power strip you bring doesn't have to be brand new, but it does have to be in good condition. No frayed wires, no damaged case, etc. Just use common sense.

We paid to have her best friend join us so we would have some peace.
