I noticed (from Google maps) that there is a Walgreens across the street from the Marriott. I am thinking about reducing my packing for the plane to a carry on only. In doing that, I'll need to minimize liquids. My plan is to purchase a few things at the Walgreens before boarding the ship (ie. mouthwash, sunscreen, lotion, etc.).

Is there anything I don't know that could cause my plan to fail? For example, is the Walgreens still there? Do they only carry a small selection of brands? Anything else I might need to consider?

It's a great plan! I did this once sailing from Miami. It worked out great. I'm a heavy packer so I only did this once, but for a short cruise I would do it again. Have only been on 7-day or longer cruises last few years and I need too many clothes for a carry one only.
