Category D8 on Deck 8

OR

Category D1 on Deck 9 or Deck 10?

 

It appears the only difference between D1 and D8 (other than deck) is D1 balcony is about 10 square feet larger than D8 balcony. Also, D1 is $200/cabin more than D8 - not much in the grand scheme of things if worth it.

Only you can decide if that 10 feet is worth $200. The D8 balcony is adequate to seat two comfortably with their feet up on the foot stools and still have a bit of walk around room. There are cabins below and above all the decks you are looking at, so noise from public areas should not be a concern. I pretty much live on the balcony when we cruise but personally would rather spend the $200 on other things than 10 feet.

I would save the $200 we were on Deck 8 on the Anthem and loved it, easy to walk down to the esplanade and the via or up to the pool.
