On-Board Future Booking Deals

Can someone please explain what on-board future- booking incentives Princess uses? I've seen people on here reference it, but seem to "talk around" it.

Something about a "floating" reservation? And does it differ from ship to ship? I'll be on Caribbean Princess in 3 weeks.

Thanks, everyone!

Not floating although that is a cute turn of phrase, it is OPEN.

This topic has been beaten thin over and over but here it is.

You book on board, you can or can not specify ship, sailing or cabin.

You get ship board credits depending on the cruise you actually book, $50 pp for inside 7 day, $100 pp for outside. It goes up if you book longer cruises to $150pp for outside over 15 days.

You deposit $100 per person on the future booking, you can use just one name, add another later and then add the second $100. They will then also get the pp credit.

You can also share the advantages of this booking with up to two couple sailing with you on the same trip, a "share the wealth" deal. They get reduced deposit, and cabin credit.

It can be used anytime in the next 4 years and is fully refundable.

A big, fat slam dunk NO BRAINER.

Srphnx, someone recently stated here that Princess has changed the deposit to $100.00 total for husband and wife? Do you know if this is correct?

I know it to be INcorrect. As of 8 days ago. You can do as I do, use the $100, hold it open and add the other $100 when picking ship and date.
