Hotel -> Fort Lauderdale cruise terminal transfer options

Hello

We are going on Freedom of the Seas out of Fort Lauderdale on Western Carribean, Sunday March 12th.

 

We will be staying at the Hilton Garden on 17th Street.

 

According to the hotel, the cruise terminal transfer service they'd suggest would cost $10/person, and we are three people.

 

That sounds like quite a bit, considering the cruise terminal is so close.

 

So I am wondering if someone can suggest a better alternative. I think there are other transfer services available, and I also wonder if simply getting a taxi from the hotel to the cruise terminal would be cheaper.

Taxi would be around $15 total for all of you.

A taxi would be less than $20.00 but depends on whether luggage would fit.

Taxi would definitely be cheaper and easier. If you are concerned about luggage request a "van or SUV-type" cab when calling a cab. Have done 5 people with lots of bags with no problem.

We just did Uber from Cambria Suites in Dania Beach. We had 3 adults and 4. pieces of luggage. It cost $12. It was really easy.

We use Uber. The hotel shuttles are the most expensive option and they jam you in with pax from other ships. Uber is just your party.
