Tips on Room charge

Are you referring to your gratuities, the $10/per day per person? That is put on your S&S card unless you prepay them through Carnival or your TA prior to your cruise. The ship, for the most part, is cashless... almost everything has to be put on your S&S card.

Your cruise tips are put on your sail and sign account automatically*. Drink tips are 15% and are added to the price of the drink. Again, these costs are put on your sail and sign card. Other costs such as shop purchases, specialty dining charge, casino charges are all put on your sail and sign card. But you don't have to actually charge the amount to a credit card. You can set up a cash account. You can even let all the charges accumulate on your s&s card, then go to the Purser's office before the last day and pay your total account in cash.

* - you can have the automatic tips (for the steward, wait staff, etc) removed from your s&s card and pay the individuals with cash in envelopes.

Hope this helps.

MK - I think you're trying to figure the different tipping? The automatic tips that are on your Sail & Sign card are:

$10 per person per day, broken down as:

$5.50 to dining room waiter/assistant

$3.50 to cabin steward

$1.00 to alternate dining - Lido Deck personnel

A tip of 15% is automatically added to any beverage purchase.

You should tip the room service delivery person $1-2 each time you use their services.

And yes, everything you purchase onboard is charged to your S&S card. As far as the tips, it's a very fair amount, but if you choose, you can have them adjusted.
