casino rate

So if my friend books a cruise under a casino rate -- She has one that will be $188 per person and then for what ever reason she can't go - can we switch out her ticket to another person's name or can I go without her?

The person who is getting the Casino Rate has to go. Technically if they are a "no show", they aren't supposed to be able to price match you to a higher rate if the cabin category is sold out, but they may make an exception for rates such as that. If they aren't going, or have a possibility of not going, then it's best not to book that rate. Trust me, I have thought long and hard about it when all my family members but me are getting offers, but it's not worth the risk IMHO.

yah makes me mad my friend has literally gone on one cruise and when we went i set it up for both of us so I get her emails for all her offers as the email account i used for her redirects to my email and she constantly gets these casino offers with $500 play and I NEVER get them

Me too. I have everyone in my family's accounts going to my emails. Burns me up. I used to get them with $25-$50 Casino Cash and a reduced rate. Now zip, nada, nothing. Irritates me to no end.

The person who has the Casino Rate is the only one that could go get the free money anyway because they have to go to the casino cage, show your S&S card and sign for it. I would be fine with just getting the cheaper rate, but I'm not willing to risk getting stuck paying a lot more in case it backfired.

I don't care about the free money I just wanted the cheaper rate - It beats other rates by almost $200

I just booked my casino offer rate, and yes only the person offered that rate can get the cash, but the other gets in on the reduced rate. I have had a few casino offers and one free cruise offer. My last cruise in Oct 2016, I won over $700 on the penny slots, I paid my sail account off and still brought over $300 home.

That is true that every person in the same cabin also gets the reduced rate, but the question was what if the person with the offer can't go? Only the person listed on the offer can get that rate for the cabin. If they don't go, then offer is null and void.

Congrats on the winnings BTW! Great job!

So my cousin and I both were offer the casino rate with $50 casino chips each. I booked it under my name with my offer. Will he still be able to get the chips too since he was offered the same casino deal, but didn't actually book the cruise in his name?

Yes. Just have him go to the casino cage. They will have it tied to his VIFP number. They give you cash, not chips.

Okay. That is good to know! I got an email stating to go to the casino cage after we booked, but he did not. That is why I was wondering.

As long as his rate actually has casino cash, he can get it. You'll have to check his rate code to make sure. Some don't get cash, just a reduced cost.

I just rebooked under casino rate today and my wife and I both got some casino cash. I checked her profile and she had the casino offer also so if you both have the offer, you will both get the casino cash.

Maybe it depends on the ship. We always got cash. Guess you could stay at the cage and turn them right back in for cash, no?

It was my wife on a Premier cruise back in January. I had booked so got the premier offer. She had premier offers but were for cruises after that one. They are the funky chips that you can't get cash for. They make you play them.....lol

I'm not sure what the code was, but it included $50 in cash. But they didn't have any record of his.

Well that's weird. And the cabin booked under the rate was in his name? Because a lot of times only one person has the offer and it doesn't apply to the other. I would have produced my documents that showed I booked under the casino rate. I believe it shows on the Invoice. They tried to pull that with my mom once. Said they had to get in touch with Miami. By that evening we went back and they gave her the $50.
