Arequipa Posted November 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2005 We are coming off the Carnival Triumph on Dec. 31 and have 3 days before we fly back to Peru. We would like to find a hotel on a beach and I am looking for suggestions. We are realizing that over new years many of the hotels in Miami are already booked. Are there any areas within a reasonable distance of Miami that any of you can recommend that we can do comfortably in those 3 days (we fly out of Miami)? Thanks for your suggestions. Arequipa Posted November 17, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted November 17, 2005 Thanks for the suggestions. Being that I am looking to check in on Dec. 31 I am not finding much that is less than $300 per night. So right now I have Riande Bayside for one night pre-cruise at $70 and Radisson Deauville Resort post-cruise for average of $150 per night. They look good on-line but so could I after a little air brushing here and there. Now can anyone tell me what these hotels are really like? I have 4 children that are going to want to swim and play on the beach.
TrentS Posted November 17, 2005 #6 Share Posted November 17, 2005 Sorry, I'd keep looking! Those are both VERY old, nasty, scary, dirty places IMO! I know it's an expensive time of year, but for the sake of your children cut back somewhere else. Miami Beach in particular should not be done "on the cheap" as the cheap places are almost always quite nasty. They all look good on their webpages, but trust me, reality is something completely different!
