NCL Mini-Suite to H5 Worth Bidding on Upgrade?

I have a mini-suite midship currently. Traveling with husband and 17year old son. Is it worth bidding minimum of $800 and up for upgrade to a courtyard H5 Suite? Suite looks small but heard such great things about Haven. Also concerned with motion and noise level being at front of ship. TIA

If you are looking for a lot more space, no. The forward facing and aft facing Havens rooms (for less money) have a lot more space (esp with your 17 yo). Remember, the $800 is a "poor" bid with zero chance of being accepted. Your bid will need to be in the "fair" range closer to $1K pp (for the first two passengers).

yes it is worth it but poor won't get it usually...a Mini suite is just a balcony with a nicer bathroom really, no suite perks at all. The haven has a lot of perks, more than most cruises. You have Haven area with pool and possible sunning area depending on ship. You have priority board, disembarkment, a butler, free room service from any menu (specialty no service fee - just cost of restaurant). If one of the bigger ships you get the Haven restaurant which is better than some specialty ones, else you get breakfast and lunch in Cagney's. They will personally escort you first off ship at all ports and you have somewhat reserved seating area for shows in case you are running late...you get snacks daily and a expresso machine in the room

Do you have any source to back up this claim? It reads like you work for NCL. You could pay $500 pp to upgrade to Haven H5 before the bid program. I would imagine it really depends how full your cruise is.
