15% discount from P&O

I must add this is from TA not P&O but it's better than the last launch.

This will be the same that they offered in September for the summer 2018 launch, 5% for everyone, plus 5% for Peninsular members, plus 5% for Peninsular cruises.

Some were called Captains choice and were 10% off. I have had nearly 25% with a nice back to back.

 

However it is not 25% off the price. Each element is taken off in turn. So 10% off first then 5% off what is left then 10% of the remaining.

 

So 100 less 10% = 90 less 5% = 85.5 less 10% = 76.95

 

Not the 75 which you would get if you took off the 25% all at once.

Well that was a false dawn, it appears that the winter 18/19 launch will only be 5% discount for peninsular members, plus an additional 5% for a very small number of Peninsular cruises, AND we are back to paying the full 15% deposit.

Not at all appetising, IMO.

I don't believe they ever existed Dai even last autumn, the literature did seem to indicate this. At the time my TA checked this out extremely carefully and the response from P&O was that the Captain's choice cruises were just an advertising slogan identifying cruises with new or interesting itineraries.

I confess I am underwhelmed with this launch.
