fair-winds39 Posted March 18, 2017 #202 Share Posted March 18, 2017 So enjoying your review and pictures of your cruise. We're set to sail on the Pride next week for the 5th time. We love everything about the Pride. Just counting down now and getting excited for our trip.
Rare Jamman54 Posted March 18, 2017 Author #203 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Carnival Pride was the first ship I had ever sailed on back in 2004. Since she was my first cruise, she holds a very special place in my heart. One of the many reasons the Spirit class is my favorite of the Carnival ships. I was on the Miracle two years ago. Thank you so much for sharing all your pictures, I feel like I am back on my first cruise again 13 years ago!!! Sadly my next cruise in May isn't on the Pride (I am doing a short 5 day cruise on the Inspiration for the first time), but I hope to return to the Pride one day! Thanks for reading! The Spirit Class has always been our favorite class of Carnival ships. No sir, I wasn't on that cruise. I am from the Beaver County area, but consider myself a Burgher, lol. Funny how that works in our area, even some from Ohio and WVA say they are from Pittsburgh in pride of the greatest team ever. We better watch out, I see Jeff is a Patriots fan, yikes!! I am not a New England Patriots fan, I am a Giants fan. The Patriots garb you see me wearing from time to time is for the Somerset Patriots, our local Independent baseball team. :D

It was our pleasure to bring her back to Baltimore for you! :D
Rare Jamman54 Posted March 18, 2017 Author #205 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Monday, February 27th - Sea Day # 1 Here are today’s Fun Times….. We were up at 7am. The skies were partly cloudy, and the seas were fairly calm. Our balcony was soaking wet, so apparently it had rained overnight. Here is our view looking forward……. Here is our view looking aft….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted March 18, 2017 Author #206 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Here are a few pictures of today’s sunrise. Didn’t think we were going to get any of these pictures today…… We decided to eat breakfast up on the Lido today. I grabbed a breakfast burrito from the Blue Iguana Cantina, and Patti opted to have a cheese and tomato omelet. At 11am we went to the casino to participate in the first CC Roll Call slot pull. There was a huge turnout of probably over 50 people…… To keep things moving along it was decided to use two machines. The cost to play was $15/pp which gave you 5 spins, which you did in your only turn….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted March 18, 2017 Author #207 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Here I am taking my 5 spins. The total money won from my spins was exactly ZERO!! When all was said and done, everyone broke exactly even. Afterwards, I went to visit with my new best friend Winston at the Red Frog Rum Bar, while Patti attended the Caribbean Shopping Show….. Of course they promoted a shopping party and raffle at 2pm….. To be continued……..
Rare Jamman54 Posted March 18, 2017 Author #208 Share Posted March 18, 2017 At 1:15pm we attended the Cruise Critic Meet & Mingle Party which was held in the Butterflies Lounge. We actually got an invitation in our cabin…… Here is the sign at the door to Butterflies Lounge….. There was a pretty good turnout of over 100 people……. They provided coffee, tea, juice, and snacks. Our CD Steve was the only crew member to show up. He took the time to answer any questions though he had to host another event in about 15 minutes. I’ve heard that some of these Q & A sessions have turned into b***h sessions, but our group treated him kindly! To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted March 18, 2017 Author #209 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Afterwards, Patti went to the 2pm Bingo session, while I went back to the cabin to rest before our next event. We got two plates of these chocolate covered strawberries and treats. They looked like rejects from the Coffee Bar, but of course we ate some of them! Lol. At 3:30pm we met in the Mermaids Grille near the Pizza Pirate for our first session of LCR. We will be getting together every sea day. Today we have a pretty big turnout….. We were not the winners today. We made our way to the deli for a sandwich. Patti then went back to the cabin, while I went to the casino to play blackjack. I didn’t do so well today. No problem, we have a long way to go! Tonight is our first Cruise Elegant Night. Here is our table set up, and tonight’s American Feast Menu….. To be continued……
Rare Jamman54 Posted March 18, 2017 Author #210 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Here are Patti and I at the first Cruise Elegant Night Dinner….. Patti has chosen the spaghetti Carbonara, and the Caesars salad for her starters….. I have chosen shrimp cocktail and the Italian wedding soup as my starters….. We both had the broiled Maine lobster tails with shrimp as our mains. I confess, I had two of them! Lol. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted March 19, 2017 Author #211 Share Posted March 19, 2017 Here is the American Feast Dessert Menu….. Patti chose to have the fruit plate again, while I ordered the banana split from the kid’s menu….. Anyone that has cruised with Ken Byrne knows that he has a great voice. Tonight he sings “The Way You Look Tonight”….. The waiters dance and sing to “Celebration”...... Tonight’s show in the Taj Mahal was “Viva Variety” featuring the magic of Bobby Borgia. We chose to go to the Punchliner Comedy Club, which is located in the Butterflies Lounge instead….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted March 19, 2017 Author #212 Share Posted March 19, 2017 Because the Comedy Club Manager JC was a little under the weather tonight, CD Steve had to pull double duty and open the show. He did a great job, and it was unusual and fun to see a CD be so risqué! The comedian we watched tonight was Mark Hawkins, and he was very good….. After the show we went back to the cabin, where we found tonight’s turndown service along with our Diamond/Platinum gifts….. The Diamond/Platinum gift for this cruise was the nightlight….. Coming up next: Cozumel and our day at Mr. Sancho’s, where I found out that yes, Jesus loves me!!!
teammom5 Posted March 19, 2017 #213 Share Posted March 19, 2017 Thanks for the review. We are cruising the Pride in July for the first time. My daughter is finishing her cruise on Ecstasy tomorrow. She mentioned 'pour your own beer' being available by the buffet on the Lido. Is this also on the Pride? Sent from my iPhone using Forums

ckmommy72 Posted March 19, 2017 #217 Share Posted March 19, 2017 What is LRC? It's a dice game often played for money... Just $3. So much fun. Here's a Video that explains it.

oneboysmom Posted March 19, 2017 #221 Share Posted March 19, 2017 Hey, I noticed that your CD was wearing a Blue Jays hat! Does he happen to be Canadian? We're huge Blue Jays fans since living just outside of TO. Again, wonderful review and can't wait to see the rest!
Rare Jamman54 Posted March 19, 2017 Author #222 Share Posted March 19, 2017 Thanks for the review. We are cruising the Pride in July for the first time. My daughter is finishing her cruise on Ecstasy tomorrow. She mentioned 'pour your own beer' being available by the buffet on the Lido. Is this also on the Pride? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Thanks for reading!! PYOB is not yet available on the Pride. Have a great time on your cruise! :) We love playing LRC...we play whenever we get together with friends/family! :) Is this something offered by the cruise line, open to all guests? Do they always offer it? So much fun! LCR is a great group game. It is not a Carnival event, it was our roll call event. Crew members on the Lido would gather around and watch us play. :D
