Amsterdam Transfer

We are ending our river cruise on a Saturday in July in Amsterdam. airport transfers are included for us.

 

If our flights depart at 11:30 AM, what time would they be taking us to the airport?

7:30 am would be my guess for the bus to depart, with a 7am time to id your luggage so they can load it on the bus. 1 hour to get to the airport and 3 hours for international check in.

The airline standard advice is to be at the airport 3 hours before flight time. Cruise lines error on the side of caution, and they generally get you there at least that early. Sometimes they combine passengers on different flights and you will be even earlier. I have had to leave as early as 3am when the cruise ends at a secondary city and I am connecting at a European hub for a flight to the US.

 

For info there are frequent quick nonstop trains from Centraal Station to Shipol airport for about 10 Euros or less. Many boats dock within walking distance of Centraal.
