Just an honest question folks!!!! Edited March 15, 2017 by Slidell_Cruiser typo
PhoenixCruiser Posted March 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2017 Will the fee still apply to those staying in suites?
mistshar Posted March 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2017 Will the fee still apply to those staying in suites? I read one article that said it would not apply to Grand Suites and up.

Pia1913 Posted March 16, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 16, 2017 I never get room service, so this doesn't apply to me. But I don't know why all the complaints, because charges for service will not stop those inclined to have it. NCL started charging $7.95 about two years ago and they're not losing any business because of it. In fact, they're doing better than ever because of their free drink packages. Now if RC did that .................. ;)
Woodmnky Posted March 16, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Has the full all day menu been released? Also, roll out dates for ships? It seems that the charge will be implemented before the new menu is released.

bcs819 Posted March 16, 2017 #12 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Hi guys. Here are the new menus, sent over from Royal Caribbean's PR department this morning. Is this on Anthem yet? We are sailing on her on 3/19 and are very disappointed that this being implemented without more notice. We booked this trip relatively last minute, and did a full cost analysis before booking this trip.
ashley@cruisecritic Posted March 16, 2017 #13 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Will it apply to Crown Loft and Owners Suites? Will the fee still apply to those staying in suites? Orders to Grand Suites and higher will be free.

Cruises departing from 27/3 onwards - Anthem already has a per item charged room service menu Hi guys. Here are the new menus, sent over from Royal Caribbean's PR department this morning. I wouldn't exactly call this a Premium menu apart from the Burger uses Wagyu, and the Philly uses Ribeye. I'd say it's a bit rubbish really. cruisefrost Posted March 16, 2017 #16 Share Posted March 16, 2017 That is the straw that did it for us as my wife is handicapped and uses room service a lot. May not seem like a big thing to most people here but cruising used to be pretty much everything included. Started cruising in 1986 and enjoyed 26 cruises where we used to get a lot of bang for our buck. Takes a lot of the enjoyment out of it to be fleesed on vacation. Don't know if we can do it but might as well cancel our Diamond Plus membership for we will be unable to sail with Royal Caribbean. Ready to start renting a condo on the beach. INGODWETRUST Posted March 16, 2017 #17 Share Posted March 16, 2017 :rolleyes:We are planning our annual cruise in September aboard the Harmony of the Seas. A few time my husband and I enjoy having breakfast on the balcony. So the menu we get in our room is being change? continental only? and service fee of $7.95 pp? richard8 Posted March 16, 2017 #18 Share Posted March 16, 2017 I read one article that said it would not apply to Grand Suites and up.I usually don't use Room Service but why does a diamond ,Diamond Plus and Pinnacle need this fee. Keep pushing us Royal we can move on.
richard8 Posted March 16, 2017 #19 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Room Service is now going to be a Member Benefit. Royal will give us 1 free room service on a 7 day. Coming soon to a cruise near you.
whycruisewithme Posted March 16, 2017 #20 Share Posted March 16, 2017 We did the same thing and this is our first cruise and wanted to do the room service as it was stated with cost. I found this on a thread yesterday looking for reviews on exertions and notified Royal and they are doing nothing about the cost so don't bother sending an email. I posted there response to mine. This will be our first and last with a dishonest company. Is this on Anthem yet? We are sailing on her on 3/19 and are very disappointed that this being implemented without more notice. We booked this trip relatively last minute, and did a full cost analysis before booking this trip.
Mikew0805 Posted March 16, 2017 #21 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Well I guess everything they bring to the cabin should now be the way I ordered it. There will be no more overlooking the way it was ordered and just dealing with it... now, since I have to pay for it, I will want what I paid for, and they will have to come back and forth each time until correct. MrsP_29 Posted March 16, 2017 #22 Share Posted March 16, 2017 We usually order room service one night. $16 isn't awful but I wish they offered a wider selection. The new menu is better but... Windjammer is almost as easy.
sky0000547 Posted March 16, 2017 #23 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Having looked at the menus, $7.95 for the American breakfast seriously is not value for money you can get any of those items easily in the WJ or MDR so paying $7.95 for breakfast is basically for the convenience. The after 11am menu however is appealing with the burger, Philly cheesesteak, chicken wings etc definitely an improvement from the previous complimentary menu. Now if RC did that .................. ;) Actually, they are. After 9 NCL cruise, I am now planning my 2nd non-NCL cruise in a row. The crazy price for water and room service, but free drink packages doesn't equate to a cruise that I want to take. NCL cruises are also typically less expensive to start with the RCI cruises, although their prices did increase when they started offering "free" drink packages.
