Doggielover68 Posted March 16, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Depends on how many people there are. Personally I would rent a car. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
jakesnana Posted March 16, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 16, 2017 what's the best price to get from mco to best western express in cocoa beach the day before cruisetom You could probably find a shared shuttle service for around $20 per person or you could rent a car for about the same amount (maybe a little more). The beauty with renting the car is that you have transportation to get around for the remainder of the day and evening when you are in Cocoa Beach. The next day you can drop other passengers and luggage off at the terminal, return the rental car and use the rental car's shuttle service to get back to the port. JohninDC Posted March 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Shared shuttle service from CorTrans, Travelynx or Cocoa Beach shuttle for about $20+ per person is probably your cheapest option. We prefer to a car as suggested above
SteerageJoe Posted March 16, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 16, 2017 (edited) I agree the previous posts - try the rental car first, otherwise opt for any of the companies below for about $25 pp or so in shared shuttles. Most will drop you at a local hotel - just ask. But be aware shared shuttles may be not be available if you arrive late afternoon/evening! If you call then they may be able to group you with others but who knows. More reason for a rental car! There are cheaper ways! The locals here use private services from one-man operators (such as Howard at http://www.gofor5.net/ ) who offer airport rides for as little as $25 each way for up to 4 persons but I have not used him personally. Use at your own risk but I know Canaveral/Cocoa Beach locals love his services. tea4ular Posted March 16, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2017 There are 2 of us and found it was such a small $ difference between a shuttle & a car rental. We're opting for car rental for flexibility -
iahawkfan21 Posted March 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2017 One way car rentals are usually pretty inexpensive. Also gives the added flexibility of being able to get places outside of walking distance or not having to take a cab.
cruzmax Posted March 19, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 19, 2017 FYI - We found a great Italian and pizza restaurant in Cape Canaveral - Papa Vito's - it's family owned. You can find the menu online. We enjoyed so much that we have been back several times when cruising from Port Canaveral.
bilyclub Posted March 20, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 20, 2017 Rental car for sure. Dropping off is easy. Picking up after a cruise is a pain.
