Can anyone tell me if they know of any big events in Miami on Saturday, April 29th? I've been trying to book a motel with Priceline for 3 weeks for the downtown area and have not yet been able to. Last year at around the same time I was able to get the Sheraton Biscayne Bay for $50 (which is now gone), and this year I am bidding on 3* again and have gone up to $65 with no luck. I have also tried for a 4* hotel with much larger bids with no luck, so thought something might be going on. Thanks.

The end of April is still kind of peak season for Miami and the South Florida region is seeing record breaking occupancy levels.

 

I'm afraid the rock bottom priceline prices of the past are few and far in between these days.

Maybe the film festival does have a lot to do with, or the fact that it is still close to peak season. I'll try and keep bidding and I do have a room that can be cancelled, although it is more than I want to spend. Oh, well,
