Things are a bit more relaxed in the check-in line, after being tiered by loyalty level. Platinum people are pretty laid back...no.

I must say that Miami terminal G is nice inside. Has a very clean refreshing smell. Really bright too, love the tent style ceiling.

Haha. My mobile remembered the royal-wifi signal.

d9a117bed2c3389c1214500874034ffc.jpg

Choices:

1. Stay on LTE, fast, but chew up data

2. Connect to royal-wifi, not so fast, no data overage.

Can't do #2 don't have my wifi pw yet.

Most eventful check-in we have ever had. When we got to final sea pass card scan to the gate, my card beep..more like eeeernnnddd...turns out my card was assigned to someone else earlier...whoops!! So Sergeant security corrected things and here we are.

Views of Miami are awesome. This is definitely the sail away spot.

Ok. Feeling light headed, time for lunch. Then on to find out about changing specialty dining package nights. The 2 gents that were roaming the Royal promenade taking reservation stuck to the first and second night mantra. So need to see manager up at Chops.

Oh no..the wash your hands tune on the tube. The myth, the legend, the oh nooooooo.

Although not crazy about POM, it's one of our favorite sail aways. Especially with the sun setting off the aft and Miami as backdrop.

Enjoy!

Finally got a PTz shot of Navigator.

If you squint just right you can see us chowing this at the WJ

on one of these neat window benches. Reminds me of the bench in the inside promenade rooms.

The ship feels very roomy despite the crowds we encountered at check-in. The WJ is really spacious had no issues finding a table.

Food and selections were top IMO. Hunger satisfied, taste buds elated.

After lunch we headed straight for the balcony for a much needed, deservd, if you don't go down then...kinda nap.

We were rudely awakened by 3 announcements (30min, 15min, another 15min) for something call a mustard drill...seriously, but seriously.

Rupesh, stateroom attendant came and got us as I couldn't budge an inch.

Sailing away now...

Someone is having more fun than me by the looks of the wine glass level.

Sun is in and out between clouds, makes for some not so nice shots.

Looks like we are leaving Riviera and Seven Seas Explorer as the only ships in port behind us.

If you don't see anything posted for a a couple hours its not VOOM its likely me nodded out on the balcony. I'll catch the sail away on my GoPro replay.

Bon Voyage!

Who is your Cruise Director?

Cuddy is due for his break at the end of the month and this cruise is the first one where his reliever, Rob McNally is available to take over.

Thanks.

So what was supposed to be another nap turned out to be not a nap for the followong reason:

1. Sun still hasn't set

2. Many sights to see on sail away. Each time I thought I'd nod off something interesting required a pic.

Didn't know there was a car ferry in Miami.

I also learned a new trick today. I hung a hammock for the first time. Awesome sauce!!!

Works great for two people. Anyone on this sailing want to take a risk and try out see my room attendant Rupesh. He may charge a nominal fee.

In other news we are on our way to Izumi's for dinner. No reservations so we'll see how that goes.

Which reminds me. Right before WJ lunch we stoppes at Chops to see if we could schmooze a reservation change on our 2 night specialty dining package. We initially got the first and second night only. But after swearing our first and second born away we got them to reserve Chops for Wed(4th night) on the basis on being our 20yr anniversary. And we settled for Giovanni's tomorrow. You can't win 'em all.

We booked the TA this morning. If you get a chance, could take a photo of the menus at the 2 Asian restaurants? Interested in the ala carte pricing.

Be nice to 7388 - we have it starting Friday! We are bringing a hammock along as well, looks like a good spot right by the porthole. Enjoy!

Yeah. My straps were kinda short so that was really the only spot that worked...unless I wanted to hang 4 feet from the deck.

Don't worry we will leave the room decorated for you.

Izumi's was excellent. You get a complementary, and thats a complement, Eduma. I had the Nigiri Combo. You get 10 pieces, figure out what happened.

I may not know what good sushi is, if eating it twice a week qualifies, but I do know bad sushi and this was not bad.

We decided to have free dessert in the WJ. Gratuities are optional there too.

Also spotted a life saver for the wife. Gluten free section. Includes a dessert section.

After dessert we headed early to the theatre for the welcome aboard show, comedy act. On the way I spotted a random port hole on deck 5 next to the ladies room. It looks out to the butt of a life boat. But I think they take exceptiom to being the butt of jokes.
