Live - Anthem of the Seas Spring Fling Cruise..3-26 to 4-3-2017

Recommended Posts

I've enjoyed following along with your review. I'm sailing on the Anthem September 28th. Have you seen any information on an Escape Room? If you see anything about the hours and how to sign up I would really appreciate it. That is one of the things we are most looking forward to.

Thanks! Glad it is enjoyable, and have a great time in September!

I am not sure what the escape room is or where as well, but I will try and locate it. If anyone has any info to point me in a direction it will help.

No problem with weather in NJ today other than another cool grey dreary day. Maybe your plane is coming from somewhere where there is bad weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful sunny day and temperatures may hit 60's!

Enjoy your last day Seadog and I'm sure your "babies" will be very happy to see you both tomorrow.:)

Thanks Jerseygirl! We are missing them as well so looking forward to picking them up!

I'd like to ask everybody's opinion on Bermuda in November. Just noticed a 7-night Anthem cruise 11/10/18. The internets say highs range from midnight 60s to mid 70s. Thoughts? Advice? Fares are very good.

I saw that too. Bermuda looks like it's at the same general latitude as Charleston SC. but it's surrounded by chilly water. I've been on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in early November and we experienced almost 90.

November might work for us. Less touristy

Have a wonderful day and safe travel home, just LOVED your review, pictures and videos and I'll see you in May :)

The Puzzle Room/Escape is a challenge where 12 people are locked in a room for an hour and you have to find clues to get out. It will be listed under Activities in your Cruise Planner for booking. The challenge is only offered on Sea Days and if you're not able to book it on the Cruise Planner, once on board, go immediately to the Royal Theater on Deck 4, you'll see a table with staff/crew members in the back of the theater where you can sign up for the Puzzle Room along with other activities, IFly/Ripcord, dining and entertainment. If they are all booked up, ask if you can be put on the wait list, which I did and they called us a few days later with an opening. You can also book these activities on the Royal IQ app immediately once you're on board, provided there are openings. You should download the Royal IQ app at home. Also, if you're still not able to book the Puzzle Room, we had a few no shows, so guests who waited outside the room prior to the challenged were able to join us. Part of the challenge is finding the room, hint, Deck 15, starboard.

Please note, if you are booked for the North Star and IFly/Ripcord and do not show up, you are charge a $25 fee for a no show. You do have 12 hours to cancel your reservation without a charge, this is listed in small print in the Compass.

I have done the North Star many times on the standby line and had no problem getting on, my longest wait was 20 mins.

Thank you so much for the information. I'll keep looking for it to be available through "activities" but if not, I'll go to the Royal Theater when we get on board.

You're welcome :)

I know when the Puzzle Room/Escape is listed on the Cruise Planner it's there for only a very short period of time, possibly a few day so you need to keep checking. Also check your Roll Call as someone will post when the Activities open up on the Cruise Planner.

Awesome info Life is Good! I know who to ask all things Anthem now that is for sure! RCL might want to pay you or at least let you cruise for free for all the info you provide! ;)

What are we only 5 weeks away from May's cruise? Might be tough to get all the wash and dry cleaning done lol!

Thanks again !

Another hint to where the Escape room is: Ask some "TEENS" where they hang out, they might give you the "FUEL" you need to get there ;-)

This hint will in no way help you get out of it though ;-)

Thanks again for the great review. If you see Synergy Band playing tonight at Music Hall, would you be able to ask how much longer they are on the Anthem for and if they will be returning for another contract? They are our favorite band we've seen on a cruise ship. Katrina's energy and passion is tremendous.

During our All Access Tour earlier in the week I noted an area I wanted to check out again at another time on deck 2 aft. I finally made it back down there and found Anthems dirty little secret. It is on the scale of Soylent Green shock...

Minding my own business snapping pics of inaugural ports of call plaques...

I can answer this :D Adrian Thomas said the band will be on the ship until May 6th

Well the afternoon was spent finishing Mrs. S book and Mr. S finishing off the Port Hole Magazine and the current issue of Readers Digest. Now we have skipped dinner and will grab a slice of pizza later as we are not hungry, and are watching people doing last minute shopping while sipping

Shortly we have to begin stuffing everything back into our suitcases. Horrible horrible chore :(

I will try to post more tonight if we can swing by the music hall, and any other activities we get to do.

We are tag #3 with a 7 am departure tomorrow, thanks Diamond Status! Then it is back to the real world...

I can add that we are not fans of Anthem's Casino Royale.. we made deposit after deposit into the casino college fund and it never once let us make a withdrawal! What's up with that!!
