As far as general tickets they started about 7:30 am handing out tickets in 270 venue on a first come first serve basis. We snagged tender ticket #5 and were on the second tender over to the island, but the later you get in line the higher your tender # and the later you will get over there. We heard from several people at dinner that night that they had ticket #30 or so and could not find an open lounge chair on the island when they arrived around noon and sat on towels, so earlier is better in that regard.

I believe, but am not 100 % sure that if you have an excursion you may meet at a designated area to tender, but please double check and do not rely in this as I am not positive.

This is all correct info as far as I know, just to add from our experience from a few weeks ago. We were crusing as a group of 7 or 8 families. Myself and DD and DS had the Scuba excursion and had tickets in our room for the scuba excursion and it indicated on the tickets that we did not need tender tickets. We were contacted a few days prior from the scuba staff and told that we should meet them at the royal theater at 9am. My wife and MIL were booked in one of the South beach Bungalows and had tickets for that as well in the room, but their tickets indicated that they should get tender tickets. However GS told us that they could also just wait in the Royal theater at around 9am.

At just past 7:30, I headed down to 270, not for tickets but for breakfast and ran into a few friends from our group. They were in the line-up to get tickets and were told that they could pick up all the tickets for their groups so every one did not have to wait in line.

We went to the Royal Theater just before 9 and joined up with the other scuba ??? excursionists ??? off to one side and my wife and MIL were told to have a seat with others in the center section. Once all of our scuba group had their waivers signed, we were brought down to level 2 and down I95 to the mid section tender boat. once we got on and left for Cococay, we went right by the forward tender boat and seen my DW and MIL were boarding on that tender.

I'm not sure if this is how it runs every time but that was how it was for us. I think that the excursions that are scheduled and an early time get included tender slots with their excursions. This would include Scuba, Jet skis, perhaps an early parasailing time slot.. and others I assume.

Good Morning Cruise Critics, welcome to Day 6 onboard Anthem! Today we arrive in Port Canaveral and will need to clear customs and immigration before the ship is cleared.

Thanks appreciate the wine list pic!

AS an FYI, if you have a good server at Vintages (and you buy as many bottles as we did on the NOS last month), you can negotiate some of the prices ;-)

I'm loving your review. I've been following you from Day 1. I'm in Denver now on vacation (I live in New Jersey) but still checking in every day to read your review so I don't fall behind.

Can you tell me how long the Northstar stays up? I get queasy with heights and just wondering how long it stays up there if I decide to go?

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Sitting down to breakfast I told my DH I had to get on CC to see how SeaDog is feeling today. ;)

Seriously though, check out the radar for the east coast today, specifically the northeast. Your showers are the tail of a nasty storm hitting NJ today and New England today and tomorrow. Heavy rain here in NJ but 12-18" of snow in parts of New England today and tomorrow.

You may have some incoming swell on your way home this afternoon and tonight. :(

And creaking and swaying and bumping.

I hope not...hope it blows out before you head up the coast.

Thanks njaloha! Yes so far so good today health-wise!

We did see the radar, we are hoping it passes before we sail through it lol. Creaking swaying and bumping, had me cracking up reading that. either the cabin or my back will be doing that :)

Spring had had worse winter weather than winter did this year. Hope everyone makes out ok with storm.

Just got back from visiting Cocoa Beach and here was the line to board

Awesome lauren! Glad you are along with us! Hope you are enjoying Denver!

The NS is a 9 min ride so stays up once up there for about 5-6 mins with a min or so for up and down. It was very stable while up there with little sway. Not sure how it is on a sea day though.

Hope you enjoy it if you give it a go!

Last we checked in we were heading to the theater to be a escorted to immigration as part of the excursion group.

This was a breeze and we were off the ship and on our bus to head to Ron Jon Surf shop by 9 am or so

NorthStar on a sea day is a little more interesting, especially if they swing you out over the side, if they still do that. Once you peak and hit the wind it starts to shake and bounce just a bit, unlike when in port, so it's good to have something to keep a hand on for stability.

I am on this sailing as well. Immigration for us was a mess. Planning on this being a "ship" day but took us almost 3 hours to get off and then back on the ship. Some in our group not very happy.

And y'all have to do it again in NJ. :(

Why do they have to do it again in Bayonne? They should just be able to turn in their customs forms and walk right through since they have already gone through immigration and are not going to another foreign port.

And it's also nice that we too can drive up to the port - makes packing much easier - don't have to worry about over-packing.

Good info for those who may be unsure. I may have to try it on a sea day now though :)
