What is meant by neighborhoods on the ships. I haven't sailed any of the big ships and was thinking about trying it. Can someone please explain what they mean by neighborhoods.

They are just areas on the shil.

They still have deck numbers but their names are more for referencing as well as cabin location.

 

For example you can get a balcony now in the boardwalk or one looking at central park.

 

In those neighborhoods are different stores and resturants as well. hope this helps

They are more or less just areas of the ship. Central Park, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, Entertainment, etc. The term Neighborhood is just a fancy way Royal labels them.
