Miami Area Fleamarkets

I will be in Miami Sun to Tue, 12/4-6. I love fleamarkets. New, Old does not matter. I will have a car.

 

Where/when can i find one or 2?

I think I stumbled onto that one when I was visiting about 5 years ago. If it's the one I'm thinking of, then it's huge! Both indoor and outdoor vendors/booths/shops and was actually pretty crowded (and it was a weekday, not weekend shoppers). There was a food court inside and rides even. I'm not a flea market person so I just did a quick in and out and went to Sawgrass Mall (I think that's what it was called) and spent the rest of the afternoon there.

At night it's a fourteen screen drive-in theater, not many drive-in's left in the country.

It could very well be the one you both mention near FLL. Did get a bit more info from my cabin mate today. It was at a dog race track. Does this fit the bill?

Holly, if you love Flea Markets you'll definitely want to go to the Swap Shop and forget the one at the Hollywood Dog Track... Swap Shop is THE Flea Market! It's real easy to get to, on Sunrise Blvd. west of I-95, east of the Florida Turnpike.

We disembark on Sunday. I will be picking up a car off airport and actually staying in Coral gables.

Holly, from the airport its a 15 minute drive. Real easy.

Exit airport and follow signs for I-95 North

Exit at West Sunrise Boulevard exit 29B

Continue west 1 mile you can't miss it.

Most travel centers, hotels, tourist info booths have brochures for the Swap Shop. The brochure has a coupon for a goodie bag that includes discount coupons.
