CaroleSP Posted November 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2005 Has anyone had a port stop at Grand Bahama? We stayed there about 30 years ago (gulp) and don't remember much except for taking a taxi a couple of times over to Freeport. Does Our Lucaya offer day passes for their facilities? Thanks for your input.
KINGBOBOFTHENORTH Posted November 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2005 There isn't a whole lot more to do at Grand Bahama Island compared to what was there 30-years ago. The International Bazaar is still there but the adjoining hotel/casino complex is closed due to hurricane damage subsequent to severe labour problems. The "Our Lucaya" complex is indeed mostly new but some of it uses the facilities of the old Holiday Inn - Lucaya. I've not heard of a day pass there but the beaches behind the hotel are public. The Port Lucaya festival marketplace across the street from Our Lucaya is newer but not new either. BobK/Orlando
