Bazz100 Posted March 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2017 Are there any special arrangements for wheelchairs when arriving at terminal? For Sapphire. Not sure exactly what you mean but there are lifts (elevators) and Princess or the Terminal Agents will provide someone to push/assist with the wheelchair if required. There are porters to help with luggage.
LokiPoki Posted March 29, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2017 No idea about Southampton, but both Princess cruises I've done they've had a separate table/booth thing in the terminal where you notify them of a need for assistance - then been taken through check-in, customs, etc. and onto the ship. If you don't get the answers you're after here, perhaps ask in the Disabled Cruising forum :)
Ron the Rev Posted March 30, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 30, 2017 Easy peesy at Southampton. Porters,( who are not Princess employees), will take your luggage from you at drop off ( a couple of bucks works wonders) note:- don't arrive too early as the porters are busy with people disembarking. Then, as soon as you enter the terminal just attract the attention of a Princess rep who will get someone to push you to the check in waiting area and then to the desk. After check in you will be pushed to a holding area and along with those passengers classed as elite, platinum or booked into a full suite you will have priority boarding. The porter( again a private company) will push you through security then as you board a Princess person will take over to push you aboard to your stateroom. If you arrive in time for lunch go to the dining room in preference to Horizon court buffet as it gets a bit crowded there.
