princesslondon Posted March 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2017 On previous cruises (other lines) when you board they usually point you to the main buffet area but on these boards I usually find suggestions for a place that is open that is not nearly as crowded. Any other restaurants/areas open on the Jade to get food? Thanks!
Mel71 Posted March 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2017 our favourite for lunch on embarkation day is the "Blue Lagoon" - I guess it will be called o'Sheehans after drydock. (Jade left drydock yesterday - everybody is waiting for first photos) Blue Lagoon: no crowds at all and enough nice things for lunch if we are more hungry we go to Alizar (or Grand Pacific) - One of those is open for lunch too and not crowded too :-) have fun on my favourite ship :)
princesslondon Posted March 29, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted March 29, 2017 Exactly what I was looking for! We are excited to try out the Jade:)
spidybabe Posted March 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2017 We enjoy going to the Main dining room for lunch when we board. Much better and more relaxing than the buffet, plus we get a kick out of no check coming, and you can just get up and leave Enjoy Safe sailing
weloveamerica Posted March 29, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 29, 2017 We were on the Jade in September and when we boarded we were ushered towards the buffet, however we noted from these boards that the mdr was open for lunch and had a lovely quiet lunch in grand Pacific. Loved the Jade.
snowcones Posted March 29, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 29, 2017 On the Jade in January 2017 the main dining room the Grand Pacific was open for lunch. Nice view too Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Demonyte Posted March 29, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 29, 2017 Just be aware that the one MDR open is not open for very long, only 1.5-2 hours from noon.
CH_ca Posted March 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2017 I think Grand Pacific is open from 12-2pm. Will they let you in after 1:30?
CH_ca Posted March 31, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 31, 2017 I think Grand Pacific is open from 12-2pm. Will they let you in after 1:30? The reason why I ask is because 1 member in our party will arrive late. We'll try to enjoy our embarkation lunch together. I'm wondering how late should we wait till before we decide to go for lunch first. So for those who had embarkation lunch in the main dining room, when was the latest you went and they still let you in?
