Hello Fellow Cruise Addicts! My Hubby and I recently got back from our 11th anniversary trip aboard the Carnival Dream. This was our 10th Cruise (7th on Carnival) and it did not disappoint. I am a cruise/ travel blogger and all of my tips and tricks as well as lots of pictures are on my blog.

I will post the links to the daily reviews in the upcoming days. My husband and I also are real foodies and take pictures of all of our food and I will have a separate post for all of the "Food Porn".

I am currently working on scanning in all of the FunTimes too!

My hope is to relive my cruise, be able to reminisce on it in the future all while helping others plan the trip of their dreams.

Installment #1- SLOWER to the fun! The trip to New Orleans from Houston was AWFUL! Traffic and construction made a 6+ hour trip into a 10 hour trip! But we made it fun!

I've read another one of your reviews. Very helpful and informative! I keep expecting u to cruise and review the Breeze before it leaves Galveston ;)

Ha! We set sail on the Breeze in 103 days! I am SO excited for that one!

Thanks for following along and glad it has helped you! :D

Oh duh! I never remember to "expand" the signatures! At this point in our lives we only embark from NOLA or Galveston so your reviews are very helpful! And your "style" of cruising is similar to mine (all about the rest and relaxation). Do u prefer CCL to RCL?

Thanks for doing a review! Enjoyed the first segment. I use to love the Welcome aboard show because they had a few of the entertainers give you a glimpse of their show. The last show I saw was nothing like that. I think I will skip them from now on.

While it was not as organized as I would have liked... It was still fairly fast getting on board and getting to our room. If you have the opportunity to get FTTF I would still as it really is worth it!

Key West was our 1st stop and we LOVED it! We had been before but this time we wanted something WILD and crazy! Well... we got it! We went through Key West Extreme Adventures and FED SHARKS! Wow... It was incredible! On this installment are LOTS of pictures and videos! Let me know if you have any questions!

Me personally I like the RC ships MUCH better but the service and food are about the same. We don;t see near as many kids on RC and if there are kids in the middle of summer when we go those kids just behave better overall. I mean you do get what you pay for with CCL but that never bothers us, really! I mean we take our kids with us too so I am sure someone out there is complaining about my precious little ones too!

A cruise is what you make of it and we try to always make it a GOOD time!

In my signature is the link to the 2 RC we have taken! We LOVED the Navigator! If you do like RC then Liberty is AMAZING and even bigger than the Navigator and in November of THIS year the Vision of the Seas (Much smaller) comes to town! We are thrilled to get a 4-5 day RC option!

I hope this helps!

Freeport- This is a port that is talked about A LOT! Most people think of it as the WORST port in the Caribbean! DH and I had never been until this cruise and the small amount of time we got to spend there and the lack luster shore excursion we experienced led us to believe this actually IS the worst port in the Caribbean! We do hope to go back sometime soon and see other parts of the island and better beaches and experiences! Either way... here are our thoughts!

Nassau- I personally really like Nassau and we had a great time. We did a shore excursion through Carnival and snorkeled at a near by reef and got a tour of Paradise Island on our way back to the ship!

I hope you enjoy this installment!

Let me know if y'all have any questions!

That is very helpful. Thank you! I'm sure we'll end up trying RC at some point as we won't have a lot of opportunity to cruise out of ports that aren't nearby. Since my sister lives in Biloxi, we will probably eventually cruise out of Port Canaveral, and I learned (just recently) that Jacksonville is easily within driving distance from her, so I've planned a surprise New Years cruise for dh and myself. :)

And I am SUPER easy to please when it comes to cruising, so it would be surprising if I ever thought I had a bad cruise.

ETA: Saw from your "sea day installment" that you guys had Chris as your CD. Isn't he THE BEST???

I am enjoying your review. We did the Dream last year for spring break and loved it. We are sailing out on the Fantasy in 3 days for a quick 4 day trip to Cozumel. Hoping to do the Breeze this summer.

Please share thoughts on the Fantasy. Do you have FTTF? Sail in 30 days.

I will do a review of the Fantasy when I return. I sailed on her about 10 years ago so I am anxious to see her since the upgrades. My son is looking forward to the waterworks. We did not get FTTF because it was already sold out. We have a 12:00 arrival time and I have already Pre paid for our Parking at the port. Hoping it goes smooth.
