Unique Shops or Locally Made Products (not aloe)

Are there any shops selling unique or locally made items close (or fairly close) to the port? Or, is it all jewelry, t-shirts, typical souvenirs, etc.? If so, where are the shops located and can you walk to them from the port? Or, would a taxi be needed?

There is a nice store downtown that sells locally hand made items. It is called Cosecha. I'll try to find the website.

Yes, you can walk to this shop. All local artisans! Beautiful pieces, an artist let my daughter help her to finish a piece of work. We purchased beautiful ornaments for our Christmas tree, also.
