Beagleluv6107 Posted April 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2017 Hey there CC, I'm looking to go paddle boarding when in Grand Turk on the Carnival Pride in a few weeks. Will I see signs as soon as I walk off the pier or do I need to walk down the beach past Jack's? Thanks!
soupercb Posted June 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 15, 2017 Just wondering if you found any SUP rentals in Grand Turk. If you did, would you mind sharing the details?
Rare crewsweeper Posted June 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2017 Things may have changed, but I believe Oasis Divers is the only SUP provider on GT. They are the vendor that does the ship sponsored snorkel and diving excursions. I think Carnival has an SUP excursion. But Oasis Divers can tell you directly. http://www.oasisdivers.com/ Also, I am told that SUP use in GT is limited to the beach areas around Cockburntown. and maybe up to Pillory Beach. You could probably paddle off Governors Beach, but the cruise port beach between the ship pier and Jacks is awfully crowded and not much scenery. South of the excursion pier toward Booby Point has a lot of coral and junk on th eocean floor. And you wouldn't even want to think about venturing out along the east side beaches.
