Vancouver cruise parking

Our HAL late-Aug 7-day cruise is booked, and I'm searching parking options. As it stands now, I have Choice hotel points I will use, to stay the night before, somewhere between Blaine and Bellingham. Embark Sat. morning, we will cross at Blaine, or, if that looks very busy, cross at Lynden, then turn at the first left and take the border street(on the BC side) to just past the BC crossing, where we get on BC99. How is the crossing on Sat. mornings?

As for parking, was thinking of several YVR lots, then Canada Line to the cruise terminal. But also looking at parking at Canada Place, for max convenience, though it may cost more than desired.

Thank you

There are quite a few local hotels that offer park/sleep cruise packages (even shuttles to the port) which might be cheaper overall and place you within only a few miles of the port so you don't have to struggle making a border crossing. All it would take is some sort of unexpected event here or in Canada and you would be SOL if the border gets backed up or closed for some reason:
