MomeeToEm Posted November 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2005 I'm ready to book our cruise for Feb. 2007. I'm planning on a 4 night on the Monarch. Our wedding anniversary is 2/22. I'd love to be on the cruise on our actual anniversary, but that's also a holiday week (Monday is President's Day). I'm thinking the cruise may have more partiers on board than normal (??). We're hoping for a more subdued crowd if possible. The week after our anniversary week is the same price as the President's Day week. Then I looked at the week before (Valentine's) & it's actually cheaper! $70 cheaper. Why would Valentine's be cheaper? Any thoughts on the President's Day sailing? I thought I had this all figured out & now I'm 2nd guessing myself. :D

There is no such thing as a subdued 4 night cruise. They are called booze cruises for a reason.
MomeeToEm Posted November 20, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted November 20, 2005 The reason that Valentines date is cheaper is because kids are still in school. There is no such thing as a subdued 4 night cruise. They are called booze cruises for a reason. Most kids are in school the week after President's Day & it was the same price. I would think Valentine's would be a popular week to cruise & therefore cost a little more. Unfortunately, we can't afford much more than a 4 night cruise at this point. Plus, I think Grandma would disown us if we left her with the kids for any longer than that. :D
Iacruiser Posted November 21, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 21, 2005 We went on a 4 day cruise over Thanksgiving one year on a Carnival Ship and believe me, I think that every college kid there is was there. What a mess it was. We swore never to do that again. Maybe Royal isn't as bad. Well guess I shouldn't say all college kids but there were plenty of kids around 20-21 or so. Guess I shouldn't say kids, they are supposed to be more adult. We got a real cheap price with 3 nights in Miami and 4 night cruise.
