The Canaries are Spanish and Madeira is Portuguese. I believe that these islands and the Azores are the only areas outside of the main European area that are included in Schengen.

 

Of course, similarly to the discussions about VAT, it's irrelevant to the status of the NCL Canary Isles cruises, as all those cruises go to Casablanca, which is certainly outside.

Sorry,my mistake,the canary Islands are indeed in schengen.There are only ecxeptions regarding VAT.

Anyway,never had problems to leave any shipper after a european cruise. ;)
