Gotta ask. Basic steak and frozen lobster tails are readily available at your local supermarket. Why is it a big deal on a cruise?

Maybe because people enjoy a surf and turf type combo, it is something they may indulge in on occasion. Given it has always been offered on board they plan on ordering it the night it is available.

On the first elegant night, I always get a slice of prime rib rare and combo it with two lobster tails, making my own surf and turf.
