Th3CruiseGuru Posted April 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2017 Hello, I am planning a cruise out of port Canaveral and plan to fly in the day before and stay at a hotel in Port Canaveral. Possibly the Holiday Inn Resort Cape Canaveral. I am in need of recommendations for a shuttle service that would not require us to bring the kids car seats. Ages 1 and 4 years old. Possibly a service that has car seats available or a large shuttle that does not require the use of a car seat. Any suggestions would be appreciated. SteerageJoe Posted April 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2017 Florida laws do require child seats in cats and vans and you will most certainly travel by car/van from the airport to the hotel versus a bus. Most of the popular shuttle companies provide child seats and/or boosters but please tell them at booking time. Several claim no extra charges! You can start with Cocoa Beach Shuttle and Smart-Two and 888-transport (the shuttle not taxi). Have you considered a one-way car rental?
Th3CruiseGuru Posted April 23, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted April 23, 2017 I have looked at one way car rental and that is 200-300 from what I was seeing. I will check out the options you have listed out. Thanks
vaca1981 Posted May 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2017 We used Tiffany town car to pick us up from mco and take us to our hotel in Disney. They were super reliable and provided us with carseats
JohninDC Posted May 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2017 Not sure when you are cruising, but $200+ for a one-way car rental is way out of the norm. Keep shopping - prices change daily - and search for discount codes. The WDW boards (all ears, etc.) sometimes post FLA specific car rental codes. We've never paid more than $50 -- the car seats will cost you extra, but the car gives you the flexibility to sleep, dine and shop where you want the day before your cruise.
