Skagway on Labor Day

I'm bummed because we are going to be there on a holiday, and there are a couple of things I wanted to do there that aren't open on holidays. Has anyone else experienced this before? We are there ALL day, as in 7 am to 8:30 pm, and this is the one port stop I'm having trouble with.

The only thing I've seen close on Holidays are banks and government offices . The Alaska ports have a limited time to make money to hold them over the winter.

I'm pretty sure most of the ship excursions run, but it's up to private vendors whether they run tours. What did you want to do?

There's some vaudeville show I wanted to go to that has shows every day but Labor Day. And multiple shows on most days. Also some of the stuff at the national park is closed.

The Days of 98 show is closed that day, but the park is open and operating on a normal schedule. Their web site shows all their ranger walks and tours as running.
