hall4me Posted April 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2017 hi just wondering what time do they do the drill before leaving port as we are on discovert2 in aug
Pensioncruiser Posted April 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2017 Its normally about 1800hrs but its flexible you will have notification on arrival, and if on for two weeks you don't have to attend on changeover day. It may be different on Discovery 2! Sent from my VF-895N using Forums mobile app

Tizzy-Jo Posted April 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2017 If you are flying in with Thomson, you won't miss the drill. If you aren't, then I would think you would have to check in to the ship by a certain time, so you still won't miss the drill.
mtt Posted April 26, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2017 cheers for quick reply its just I might be late in getting to cruise port what happens if I miss drill and arrive after we arrived late on the d1 in jan and did muster in the venue, its quicker now as you don't need to go back to the cabin for your life jackets and your cruise card is scanned at arrival to the drill
jake 26 Posted April 26, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 26, 2017 No life jackets needed now at muster drill, at least that is true for Discovery.
k8ti Posted April 30, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2017 We arrived after 11.00p.m on our last cruise and we had to go to the theatre to have a life boat drill. Again no life jacket needed. After our drill the flight landed late from Belfast and before we sailed they also had a drill. No one should worry about missing it. They will not sail until all late comers have been briefed.
