poss Posted May 24, 2017 #26 Share Posted May 24, 2017 My husband and I usually wear shorts in the Med in hot weather-- of course not when we'll be visiting churches or monasteries, but definitely when we're strolling towns or hiking.
Minoushka Posted May 28, 2017 #27 Share Posted May 28, 2017 Should we follow the same 'shoulders and knees' covered protocol at Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore? We added that church stop in- just not sure what day yet - Thanks! Carry a long sleeved shirt or pashmina at all times .If you need to c over up you can with your own stuff lput in a light Adidas back pack ..the ones with draw strings .. I put my water bottle , kleenex ..wipes. , sanitizer , ipad in it ...it sits on my tummy not my back ...someone told me to switch in Italy from back to front ...pickpockets etc In Rome I wear a skort to the knees .. A twin set sleveless top with matching shirt on top ..If IM hot off comes the shirt if we go to a church ...Im covered , so are my knees ...this was the easiest way to be comfy and acceptably dressed everywhere If you dont have a skirt capris will work
