My husband and I usually wear shorts in the Med in hot weather-- of course not when we'll be visiting churches or monasteries, but definitely when we're strolling towns or hiking.

Should we follow the same 'shoulders and knees' covered protocol at Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore? We added that church stop in- just not sure what day yet -

Thanks!

Carry a long sleeved shirt or pashmina at all times .If you need to c over up you can with your own stuff lput in a light Adidas back pack ..the ones with draw strings ..

I put my water bottle , kleenex ..wipes. , sanitizer , ipad in it ...it sits on my tummy not my back ...someone told me to switch in Italy from back to front ...pickpockets etc

In Rome I wear a skort to the knees ..

A twin set sleveless top with matching shirt on top ..If IM hot off comes the shirt if we go to a church ...Im covered , so are my knees ...this was the easiest way to be comfy and acceptably dressed everywhere

If you dont have a skirt capris will work
