Departing ship

Recommended Posts

Latest disembarkation time is port and itinerary dependent. I've been on cruises where one trip the ship wants everyone off before 10 am while on on the same ships 12 weeks later it was just docking at 9:30 am (and was not weather delayed). The best I can say is allow 1 hour per 1,000 guests aboard after the ship has docked and customs has cleared the ship for disembarkation to get physically off the ship on a closed loop, longer if on an open jawed. Remember foreign ports may have longer lines to process out of the port terminal, which can effect how disembarkation is handled.

Generally speaking most Carnival ships dock and begin debark at 8am, obviously some vary because of weather and some are planned earlier/later. With an 8am debark time you will have to be out of your cabin by 8:30am and off the ship no later than 10:30am so they can prepare for the next group of passengers.

Are you planning on sight-seeing in Barcelona at all? If you were planning on doing so before the cruise, maybe consider do it after the cruise. Try to be in the first group off the ship and check out barcelona all morning before heading to the airport.

This is an excursion through Carnival that will pick you up at the ship, take you on a highlights tour and then drop you off at the airport. Lasts 4 hours. Prices may change by the time of your siling but right now priced @ $72 per adult.
