Infi Posted May 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2017 We're interested in taking a cruise on the Veendam. In the past, we have enjoyed staying in the "large" inside cabins onboard because they allow enough room for a rollator while still being able to maneuver around in the cabin. Unfortunately, this time it seems like all of the large inside cabins that we've stayed in in the past are taken on this particular sailing. (I usually look for 548, 549, 769 and 773). Are there any more large inside cabins (or larger cabins in general) that I might be missing? I've already checked out the HAL cabins website as well, but have come up empty handed. Many thanks in advance!
RuthC Posted May 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2017 I'm fairly familiar with the large inside cabins on the S-class ships, as I try very hard to book one myself. In more recent years I have needed one to make room for a scooter. I don't know of any large cabins with the sideways configuration, other than what you have listed. I will be taking a look at 769 and 773 the next time I book an S-class. Thanks for the tips.
SeeSun&Sea Posted May 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2017 EE418-421 (aft, obstructed view) are about a foot wider & shorter. Several cruise ship review sites note that the hall is wide enough to park a rollator.
TXCruiser10 Posted May 10, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2017 We're sailing the Veendam and have booked category EE427, an ocean view but the EE420, 418, 427, and 429 are larger than other ocean views. You might consider these.
