Recommended Posts

How hard is this to accomplish ? Its our first port and I think that some of us will want to fo to Amsterdam to see a few things- maybe the Ann Frank house, canal tour, etc.
Would love any advice.

We were in Rotterdam last summer and took a cab to Amsterdam. At that time is was 160 Euros and about an hour ride. There is a train station near the dock and you can get there much cheaper.Check some of the train web sites. I've been told it's like a communter train or subway type of train.

Depending on where in Rotterdam you arrrive this is very easy. Cab to Rotterdam central station and frequent regular trains to AmsterDam. The station in Amsterdam is at the top of the pedestrian area and the places most people want to look at are in easy reach from there. Trams are pretty straightforward too if you need to get back quickly.
