security question at southampton

Recommended Posts

I believe everyone goes through security. I have "medical screws and plates" that have never been a problem. I used to tell the security people as a precaution, but now I don't feel the need. You might alert them before you go through security as this will be her first time.

A form from your doctor or the company that made the medical device you have implanted in always a good idea. Our son's father=in-law has two artifical hips and always sets off the alarms. He always gets wanded and sent on his way. DW has surgical screws in both feet and never sets off an alarm. Not in an airport, not in a cruise terminal. Just be ready for the extra check and you will be fine.
