Drop of bags on embarkation day

How early can you drop of your bags on embarkation day in San Juan PanAmerican Pier? We are planning on drop of bags and have breakfast in Old San Juan just with our carry on.

San Juan is different than most other embarkation ports we've experienced. Unless things have changed recently, sometimes they don't start taking bags until 10:30am or even a bit later.

My understanding is that there is a restaurant in Old San Juan that will hold bags for you. That way you can just drop them there and enjoy your leisurely morning/afternoon in OSJ and just pick them up on your way to the ship.

Good idea.:) That restaurant is called Barranchina's.

The port where the ship docks is far from OSJ. You will definitely need to take a cab to get there.
