If we get gift cards through Verizon/AARP what have you, can we apply them to our room and then use the credit in the casino? Or is the only way to use them to pay/reconcile whatever bill you've racked up making charges to the room?

If you charge your casino costs to your room, yes, you can use the gift cards to directly pay for them. Otherwise, load them on to your S&S, use the casino trick to cash out, then use the cash in the casino.

WAit wait wait, I didn't even think of that. I was afraid to get too many cards because we want to do a good bit of shopping/spending at the port, but I could load them onto my S&S account day 1, and then go to the casino and load onto the machine the amount, and cash out, redeem ticket, and essentially have converted the gift cards to actual cash?

I think there is a daily limit of about $500 you can upload to your player bank. I've never come close to adding the max so maybe someone else will give you a more accurate max. And please play a little on the slot before cashing out so they don't take this method of getting our cash back away.

Ha, not to worry. There will be no twisting of my arm necessary to get me to gamble. 😂
