stazc Posted May 31, 2017 Author #151 Share Posted May 31, 2017 On the table when we arrived there was a plate of various chocolate items, pumpkin bread, chocolate muffins and chocolate croissants. Coffee and juices were served, as well as mini chocolate milkshakes for the kids. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Clarea Posted May 31, 2017 #152 Share Posted May 31, 2017 We pulled in, stopped for a minute, then pulled back out and now we are on the way again? Very odd. I wonder if we were delivering something or picking something up? Medical issue?

stazc Posted May 31, 2017 Author #156 Share Posted May 31, 2017 Medical issue? Yep. Medical debarkation. We pulled into port and a tender boat took somebody to shore. Prayers for them and their family. I hope they recover quickly and feel better soon. I can't imagine how stressful that must be to have your vacation cut short and be in another country while experiencing a medical emergency. stazc Posted May 31, 2017 Author #157 Share Posted May 31, 2017 Overall, Character breakfast was "ok". Food was nothing special, the same items that could be found elsewhere on the ship, just with "themed" names. There were only two meet n greet experiences. I was hoping for more, and maybe more popular characters. Shrek for example. All the characters can be seen around the ship for meet n greets, so in the future I would save the money (I think it was $10 per person?) and just get a great breakfast then go meet the characters separately. The only thing we got that we wouldn't have if we skipped the breakfast, were some character stickers. Either way, Sophie had fun, and got extra stickers to give to our concierge and loft attendant, which they loved. stazc Posted May 31, 2017 Author #158 Share Posted May 31, 2017 Last night we checked out the casino for a little while. About half of the casino is non-smoking, which is really nice. There are "no smoking" stickers on the platforms that the machines are sitting on, so look for those if you want to be in the non smoking side. The smoking side was busy, and it was too smoky for us. The fans and filtration system seemed to be working however, as the non smoking side was fine. The machines were TIGHT. I played several different games and didn't win a thing. Mike had a little more luck, but not by much. We will try again later. [emoji38] Today is a sea day, so we plan on relaxing and exploring the ship some more. We also still need to decide on an excursion for tomorrow (Cozumel). The concierge team was able to get me a massage appointment for this afternoon before dinner. VERY excited about that. I wasn't sure if they would have any pregnancy-friendly massages. Turns out the Swedish massage is fine as long as you are past the first trimester. The other massages are not available due to the essential oils that are used, or the methods. For example, no hot stone massages as the heat isn't recommended etc. I'm well into my second trimester now, so they were happy to book me in (and yes, I checked with my doctor and she wrote me a "doctors note" to bring on board and give to the spa staff approving me for full body massage). stazc Posted May 31, 2017 Author #165 Share Posted May 31, 2017 We played some mini golf today, and Mike did the ship zip line. Although the zip line itself was fun, he said the process to get waivers signed/wristbands on was very disorganised. He had filled out the waivers beforehand on our stateroom tv. When arriving at the zip line it seemed like the staff didn't know which line to put him in. So he basically waited in four lines instead of two. Minor inconvenience but it put a damper on the whole fun of it. We had lunch at Coastal Kitchen. Seemed to be a mix of menu items from dinner the previous night plus a few new items. Everything we tried was excellent! Now we are off to Bingo! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's fun!https://www.******************.com/2016/12/24/experiences-escape-the-rubicon-royal-caribbeans-harmony-of-the-seas Sent from my iPhone using Forums My sister and I did Escape the Rubicon when we where on Harmony. I started reading all the info on Harmony while the ship was still being built. When I read the description of the escape room, I thought it was something I would never want to do. But, so glad I changed my mind and did it. We did not solve the puzzle, but were sooooo close. What a great time. The other good thing is that it was "included" when we did it - no extra fee. Highly recommend this to anyone on Harmony.

Thank you, Barbara You should be able to read about it and reserve through the cruise planner (if spaces are still available), if not then reserve on the day you embark or last resort get on a wait list. I don't remember it having a cost. Age might be 14 up because it requires some logic/thinking. It is what they call a puzzle room.
stazc Posted June 1, 2017 Author #171 Share Posted June 1, 2017 I need to get caught up! Had an early night last night. My massage was good. Being pregnant, she could only do light pressure. Full pressure was only permitted on my neck and shoulders. I laid on my side for the first half, instead of my stomach. It was very relaxing, and she did a great job. I got a 75 minute massage and it lasted the full 75 minutes (I know some people complain that they get cut short). She also did not give me any hard sell on products afterwards. She recommended one gel for my sore shoulder, and I said "I think I'm good for now, thank you though." And she dropped the selling speech immediately without issue. She was pleasant and cheerful the whole time. I will say, the spa experience as a whole was leaps and bounds better on the NCL Escape. [emoji87] Their spa treatments get you access to the whole spa area with thermal loungers, a salt room, steam room, sauna, snow room, therapy pools etc etc etc. It has panoramic views of the ocean and is one of the most relaxing places I have ever been in my life. Even the rooms for mani/pedi treatments have glorious ocean views. This picture is from my cruise on Escape last September. On Harmony, I was escorted down a windowless hallway to my treatment room, then escorted back out to the lobby of the spa. No ocean views at all, and although my treatment room was relaxing, the waiting room and lobby area were not. It just didn't really compare in terms of overall experience. stazc Posted June 1, 2017 Author #172 Share Posted June 1, 2017 It was formal night again, and lobster night. We tried the risotto and wedge salad for appetiser. They even made a mini wedge for Sophie with cucumbers and ranch, which she LOVED. The risotto didn't have a lot of truffle flavour, but it was tasty. The rice was undercooked, and a bit crunchy, which was a bummer because the sauce was so yummy, I just wanted to keep eating it. stazc Posted June 1, 2017 Author #173 Share Posted June 1, 2017 Rack of lamb was DIVINE. Barely any fat, cooked perfectly. The potatoes were soft and fluffy on the inside and just melted in your mouth. Our server was Lawrence and he also brought us the scallops and lobster dishes to try. The scallops were cooked perfectly, but the lobster was a little rubbery. The lobster salad I had the first night is hard to beat in terms of lobster. After dinner we went to the 8pm presentation of 1887, the ice show. It was a little odd in terms of flow, and a few of the performers were having a rough night (I think there were 3 or 4 falls). The technology was neat, as they projected things onto the ice, and we loved watching the bubble guy, who did amazing tricks with various bubble wands, smoke etc. Sophie enjoyed most of the show, but thought it was a bit loud, as she had her hands over her ears a lot. stazc Posted June 1, 2017 Author #175 Share Posted June 1, 2017 We have booked the Fury Catamaran excursion for this afternoon. We leave at 2pm and return at 6pm. There wasn't much choice for excursions that were pregnancy and toddler friendly, BUT still active and fun. (Lots of island tours and shopping, but we like to "do" things, not just look at things). This one checked all the boxes. We love to snorkel, it has time at the beach, and we can see the catamaran boats from our room and they have lots of shade on board. [emoji1360] Looking forward to it. Until then, we plan to take advantage of the quiet ship and get in some pool and slide time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
