bury me at sea Posted May 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2017 Let's go to the big picture first and the details can follow. Did you have a great time? Welcome home.
lizzyplague Posted May 28, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted May 28, 2017 (edited) Thank you. We sure did have a great time. :) Always do. The only thing I really have anything negative to say is about the main theatre and the not so great sight lines from the top and back of the balcony, but moving down a few rows helped. Cove balcony was clean, the food was hot and consistently good. Bonsai Sushi was amazingly good. Ship never felt crowded, except the elevators at times. The new elevator system did work, we thought, but wished the doors didn't close so quickly. By the time you find the correct elevator the door would close. Trivia was very fun, with Bradley and Adam. Ryan the comedy host was excellent. The comedy club didn't have a bar in it, but no big deal. Didn't think the atrium was small. The dreamscape didn't change as often as I thought it would, but it was very nice to watch it. The internet was terrible, though. Very sketchy, but we were able to print boarding passes pretty quickly on the last night. We missed Curaçao due to high wind but no big deal. Refunded 8 dollars each in port fees. Line at guest services was long that evening. :) They didn't give us a free cruise or anything.. haha. Edited May 28, 2017 by lizzyplague

lizzyplague Posted May 28, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted May 28, 2017 Thank you. I'll do a more thorough review in a few days, but we didn't do too much in the ports we did get to.
pbasciano Posted May 28, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 28, 2017 Did you do any of the specialty dining options, if so how were they? How was the beverage service outisde of main dining? Did you have assigned dining or your time? If you had your time, did you experience any delays? By chance do you have any of the fun times? Just a few questions to start :)
Jthomasou Posted May 28, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2017 We were on the same cruise. We did both the steakhouse and JiJi. The steakhouse is consistently good. JiJi was our favorite meal of the trip.

Did you have assigned dining or your time? If you had your time, did you experience any delays? By chance do you have any of the fun times? Just a few questions to start :) We did the steak house for the first time. It was very good and took about an hour and 15 minutes from start to finish, but imo not worth a trip more than once or twice. A few elements of the meal were a bit better than the mdr but it didn't really impress enough to pay for it again. Bonsai sushi I would definitely get again. We only ever got drinks from the mdr, red frog rum bar on lido and the aft bar on lido. The bar at the back of lido never had a line around lunch time, so very quick there. Casino only had bartender the time we went but got a drink within a few minutes. They were pretty quick in the comedy club and in mdr for drinks. We never sat on deck so I can't comment on bar service around the main pool. The Havana bar on 5 aft never looked busy all the times we were near it. Always a line for coffee bar though. We had assigned early dining in reflections but we were always out in an hour and 15 minutes. They didn't serve dessert until after showtime, at our table, at least. We had our own. (Three of us). It was certainly one of our quickest dinner services. We have the fun times, which I can scan within a few days. They're in checked bags at the moment. :)

luv2travel06 Posted May 28, 2017 #10 Share Posted May 28, 2017 At the airport with nothing to do for a few hours. I'll try to answer any questions you have. :) We were on the Adonia. You passed us on the way back to Miami, but few people were at the airport when we got there. What time did disembarkation start for you? Monthend Posted May 28, 2017 #12 Share Posted May 28, 2017 Not sure if our dining experience was typical. We were rushed through our meals. We order a soup and appetizer. Both were served at the same time. Made for a crowded table and awkward makeover of dishes. Last night it seemed all servers were able to take time to be friendly.
