Taste Bar - more info?

Apparently, Conquest ( & other ships?) have this "free" option (cost-included) where you can sample some appetizers from the "additional-charge" restaurants?

Anyone have any comments on it? Is it worth the price..hahaha...? maybe for pre-dinner apps? What hours is it open? Tks.

It's open at 5 pm(can't recall if it's every day or just sea days). You get to sample 2 appetizers from different restaurants fleetwide. It's definitely worth trying...especially for the price..lol

It's not really an appetizer unless you get a couple of servings. Some are good and sone not so good.

We like taste Bar. Nice for apps wot go with a pre-dinner cocktail. They are just small little samples, not too much before heading into dinner.

We have enjoyed really good samples. Some soups, meatballs, etc. small samples but very tasty and no one notices or care if you lurk around and try another bite. They are usually in the promenade not far from the casino.

On the Splendor a week or two ago, it was open probably 3 out of 6 days, but none of the food I saw them presenting ever looked good enough to wait in line. But that might have been my preference and the fact that we had early dining and I preferred the apps in the MDR>

It is ok if you happen to be in the area. It is nothing more than a bite sized sample so don't expect much.

All are good but my favorite is the Italian Taste Bar. I eat late in the MDR so heading to the Taste Bar before dinner will tide me over until dinner. I believe the Taste Bar is from 5:00pm to 8:30pm. I have never seen a long line and it is not a problem to get multiple servings. I would prefer they had it every night instead of half the nights on the cruise.

On our last cruise on The Dream it was a pretty low key event that did not seem worth it, for anybody. Maybe I missed something.
