I have a question about boarding times. My parents are getting on a Carnival ship today. They have an assigned boarding time. They are with another couple in 1 vehicle. The other couple has an assigned time of 1100 to 1130. My parents have an assigned time of 1-130. Just seems inconvenient to me. I realize Port Canaveral is much busier now (partly because Oasis replaced Freedom there). Is Royal assigning boarding times now as well? It has been 4 years since my last cruise. We are going again in January.

They assign boarding times, but they have not been enforcing them in North America. We're sailing out of San Juan today, and our assigned time is 2:00. We'll be there at 11:00.
