Innocent bystander Posted June 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Is it possible to take public transportation from the cruise port over to where the Tall Ships are? Looking at a map, it does not seem walkable. With limited time in port, trying to decide if the crowds will be too crazy and if it would be better to go to the Freedom Trail. Not sure we can do both. Thanks.
maryann ns Posted June 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2017 You do not mention which port you are asking about. Boston? The Tall Ships will be in Halifax from July 29 - august 1 and cruise ships dock downtown withing walking distance. http://www.metronews.ca/news/halifax/2017/04/12/tall-ships-sailing-into-halifax-this-summer.html
Nitemare Posted June 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Does sound like Boston. Can you tell us where the Tall Ships are going to be berthed during your visit? It seems to be different every time. With that info we can advise on walking distance or not.

Innocent bystander Posted June 5, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Looking at a map, the inner harbor? Is that general location? There's the World Trade center, Boston Fish pier, fan pier. It looks like the majority is there.
